Are you ready for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3? It's coming in just a couple of days. We will be giving you a little sneak preview of what you should expect from the next CoD blockbuster hit.
Activision’s latest “Call of Duty” video game will definitely be a big hit for the action enthusiasts, but Modern Warfare 3 will also feature something no other CoD game has ever offered before. Activision is banking that players will want to hand over an extra $50 a year, for a new premium service called “Call of Duty Elite”

All Players will be able to sign up for a free profile that will track your gameplay stats just like the XBox 360 and PlayStation 3 already do, but with this new social network you will be able to track your stats cross platform. “Call of Duty: Black Ops” from last year, will also be able to use this feature as well as any CoD games coming in the future. But In order to take advantage of everything the new service has to offer, you will need to pay the $50 yearly subscription for the “Elite” service.
With the “Elite” subscription, you will be able to download exclusive monthly content for members only. This means, players subscribed to “Call of Duty Elite” will be able master the new maps and other content before its available for download to non-members.
“Elite” members will also have premium clan features, that will allow your clan to level up just like your character already does. Clans will be able to unlock items and features, and be able to earn double-xp weekend. Best of all, clans will be able to compete against other clans and compete to win real prizes from Activsion. non-members will also be able to start a clan, but If you're a premium member you will have the upper hand in these clan battles because of having all the extra content, that non-members don’t have.

Looks like “Call of Duty” has gone to a whole new level with the “Elite” subscriptions. If you're going to want to keep up with the games online community, your either going to have to hack your way through the hard way, or add another yearly subscription to be able to be on top. Those $15 map pack days are long gone, and “Elite” has taken its place.
