Sony will be releasing the God of War PSP series for the Sony Playstation 3 on September 13, 2011. The God of War: Origins Collection will have both God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta titles from the original PSP versions.

The new versions will be upgraded for the PS3 with 720p high-definition HD graphics, anti-aliasing has been added to make the gaming graphics look more sharp and crisp, The game has also been upgraded to a smooth 60 frames per second for your plasma screen viewing pleasure.

Sony has also modified the game controls to match the PS3 controls and they have also added Dual Shock 3 support for all your rumble needs. Each of the two titles will also have trophy support to show off your game play advancements.

With so much being upgraded graphics wise, the upgrade should be a big jump from the PSP versions, but since the games are being upgraded from something that was intended to be played on a small hand held gaming device don’t expect a miracle. The graphics will look great but not to par with the latest graphic intense video games out on shelves now.

Don’t let that put you down on purchasing this video game, if you haven’t played the God of War series for the PSP your in for a great treat. The Story line is awesome and you will get both games and a free copy of the “God of War – Game Directors Live documentary” (previously included with the God of War: Ghost of Sparta preorder package) as an extra bonus, All on one Blu-Ray disc for $39.99. Thats two awesome, digitally remastered in HD, PSP games for less than one regular PS3 game.

Update: Now that God of War: Origins Collection is out, I found that Newegg.com and BestBuy.com are the best and cheapest places to buy this great game collection. Check out there websites below for more info.
