Apple refreshes MacBook Pro, faster processors and more storage

If you have been holding out for a new MacBook Pro, you will be happy to hear, Apple has just released a refreshed update to their premium notebooks. So if you recently bought a new MacBook Pro, I suggest you stop reading and go on to the next article or keep on reading and get ready to march on over to the Apple store, for an exchange to a faster MacBook Pro.

Apple has decided to keep the same form factor and design of the current MacBook Pro. Instead, they gave the new top of the line laptops a little boost in performance and more hard drive space for storage.

The 13-inch base model now sports a 2.4GHz, dual-core Intel chip and a 500GB hard drive for $1,199. For a little extra cash, it can be upgraded to a 2.8GHz processor chip with a 750GB hard drive for $1,499.

The standard 15-inch MacBook Pro will come with a 2.2GHz quad-core i7 processor and 500GB of storage for $1,799. You have the option to upgrade the 15-incher to a faster 2.4GHz processing chip and 750GB of storage for $2,199.

The 17-inch model comes in at $2,499 and only comes with the faster 2.4GHz Quad-core, Intel i7 processor. The chip can be upgraded to a 2.5GHz i7 chip, if you add $250 to the bill.

To sum things up, The 15- and 17-inch MacBook Pro’s now have quad-core Intel i7 processors and an AMD Radeon graphics cards. As for the 13-inch models, they have been upgraded to dual-core Intel i5 and i7 processors, and will have to retain its integrated graphics hardware. All models come with 4GB of RAM and can be upgraded to 8GB for $200 more. They also come with Apple’s latest OS X Lion and Thunderbolt technology.

Apple’s latest upgrades, add an impressive boost in specs to keep the MacBook Pro hanging with the big boys.
