Update for Android Market, purchase movies and books by phone

The new Android Market update comes with some redesigned tweaks and the ability to purchase movies and books straight from the Android Market App.

The only way to view movies and purchase books before was to go to the Android Market website.

Movie rentals and book purchases are now connected to your google account, which will allow you to download purchases across all your Android devices. You can even download a movie and watch it at a later time when you have no data service.

Android considers this update a “silent update.” Meaning, If you have Android 1.6 or higher the Android Market application will automatically update its self. If you don’t see the Android Market update you can easily, launch Android Market, touch “My Apps” on the top right hand corner, switch to home screen and wait 5-10 minutes for Market to update. You should see the update when you re-launch Android Market.
