Think LTE 4G technology can ever be crammed into a dual-core Android Smartphone and still carry Serious Battery Life? Motorola is out to prove they can with the updated DROID RAZR MAXX for Verizon Wireless.

For those of you who wanted all of the great features of the original DROID RAZR but were turned off by the poor battery life, the DROID RAZR MAXX might be what you have been looking for. The just released juiced up Motorola device, now has a battery life that will last longer than half a day.

The DROID RAZR MAXX is designed for the person that likes to spend their days and nights multi-tasking on the go, instead of being trapped next to a power outlet.

The RAZR MAXX is the worlds first 4G smartphone to pack a high capacity 3,300mAh battery. When you compare the new battery to the original DROID RAZR’s 1,780mAh or the Galaxy Nexus 1,750mAh capacity battery, you can see how the DROID RAZR MAXX will last you all day without having to recharge.

Motorola claims you’ll have 21.5 hours of talk time on a full charge with the new RAZR MAXX. When you compare that to the 8 hours the original Droid RAZR gets, you can see how impressive the battery upgrade is.

In order to be able to get such a big battery into the worlds thinnest 4G smartphone, Motorola had to give the RAZR MAXX a little more girth. The RAZR MAXX is still impossibly thin, but now slightly thicker than the original DROID RAZR by 0.07-inches. The new RAZR MAXX is 0.35-inches at its middle, versus the original RAZR’s 0.28-inches thick at the waist.

Other then the larger battery size and making the device slightly thicker, not much has changed when compared to the original DROID RAZR. It still has a scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla display, a KEVLAR back, and a water-repellant nano-coating, to protect against everyday liquid spills. The super 4G smartphone also comes equipped with 32GB of total memory and is piloted by a powerful Dual-core 1.2GHz processor.

The only down side I see about the DROID RAZR MAXX is that it isn’t launching with Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0. The Maxx launches with just Android 2.3.5. But that shouldn’t be an issue for too long, once the official upgrade to Android 4.0 is available.
