Samsung Galaxy Nexus Announced, includes Android Ice Cream Sandwich (Video)

Samsung and Google have finally announced the powerful Galaxy Nexus, in Hong Kong today. Samsung’s latest smartphone is packed with features and is the worlds first smartphone to run Android 4.0, AKA Ice Cream Sandwich.

Known as the Nexus Prime before its announcement today, The new Galaxy Nexus makes other Mobile phones look dated, with its powerful specs and features. It carries an enormous, 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display, Its powered by a 1.2GHz Dual-Core processor, 1GB of RAM, 5 megapixel camera with an LED flash on the back and it records 1080p video and plays back 720p resolution on its display, On the front it's rocking a 1.3 megapixel camera for front facing pictures and video chats. You will have the option to choose between 16 or 32 GB of internal memory, unfortunately there is no microSD slot. See full specifications and video below.

Its was not announced as to which carriers will carry the Galaxy Nexus but from leaks before the press release, Verizon will most likely carry Samsung’s new mobile power house and support 4G speeds. Check out the video above at the 20sec mark for a little surprise.

The Galaxy Nexus will arrive in the US, Europe and Asia, coming November and shortly after, launch globally.
